Stichting Mano is dedicated to creating welcoming, inclusive spaces for communities to connect, learn, and grow. On Silja Europa, we provide a range of programs and activities that support the personal and social development of newcomers, families, and individuals. Our mission is to foster connection, empowerment, and a sense of belonging for everyone involved. And now, we need your help!

We are inviting external volunteers, living outside of Silja Europa, to join us in creating positive change. Whether you live in Rotterdam or nearby, your time and energy can make a significant impact on the lives of others.

We offer several exciting opportunities for volunteers:

As a volunteer at our Taalcafé, you’ll assist in creating a relaxed, social environment where participants can practice and improve their Dutch language skills. Whether through conversations, games, or group activities, you’ll help break down language barriers and build confidence.

Become a Taalmaatje by offering one-on-one language support to someone looking to improve their Dutch. This role is flexible and personal, allowing you to form a meaningful connection while helping them navigate daily conversations, work situations, or simply feel more at home in the Dutch-speaking community.

As a Dinermaatje, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with individuals over shared meals. This is a chance to build community while enjoying food together and engaging in meaningful conversations, providing companionship and support to those who might feel isolated.

We always welcome volunteers who want to bring new, creative ideas to the table! Whether you have skills in art, music, storytelling, or another activity, we’d love to hear your suggestions on how we can make our programs even more enriching and diverse.
